Jevin and Katie were married Saturday afternoon in Downtown Kalamazoo and held their reception just a few blocks away at City Scapes. Everything about their day was just perfect.
It was privledge to spend time with Katie's family again. I photographed her cousin's wedding (Dan and Kristina) back in July and they are just a delight to work with and Saturday was no exception.
What a church! I was like a kid in a candy store with all the areas to take pictures in.
Jevin is a Marine and spent two different tours in Iraq. What an honor to spend time with someone like him. I am so happy that he made it home safe and I know that Katie was beyond happy to have him back.
I love the way the sun was making color spots in this image. It match the colors of her flowers. I spent most of the day trying to figure out what kind of flowers were in her bouquet. They was unique and beautiful.
What a wonderful old church. They just don't make them like this anymore. It was just breathtaking. I wish we had more churches like this in GR.
I love details like this on a wedding day. The flower petals were just a nice touch. The weather was perfect for their departure and they were both just so happy.
I spent a bit of time with Jevin and Katie on their carriage ride through downtown Kalamazoo. There were just so ready to do anything for great pictures. Thanks for putting up with all my weird requests.
Katie was just the most beautiful bride. Everyone spent the day saying that she belonged on the cover of a bridal magazine. Everything about her dress, hair and jewelry was just perfect.
The wonderful DeVries family. I think that Katie's grandparents are just the most gracious and kind people. Her grandmother is just as much of a classic beauty as all her granddaughters.

Those are such beautiful pictures! And the bride truly is stunning! I can see why everyone was saying she should be on the cover of a bridal magazine! All my best to the wonderful couple, may they have long life and happiness!
